Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 8, 2026 Last updated: June 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how The Click Hatch (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operator of theclickhatch.com (the “Website”), collects, uses, stores, and protects information. By using our Website or any of our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Still to customize before publishing: Insert the specific Google Ads API OAuth scope(s) you request in Section 2 (for the Ads API this is typically https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords). Confirm “The Click Hatch” is the exact name registered on your Google OAuth consent screen. If you also run Google Analytics with advertising features enabled, you may add it by name alongside the remarketing disclosure in Section 8.

1. Who We Are

The Click Hatch operates theclickhatch.com and uses the Google Ads API to access and analyze advertising data for our own internal business purposes.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Information you provide directly. If you contact us, fill out a form, or subscribe to communications, we may collect your name, email address, and any details you choose to share.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, our servers and standard web technologies may automatically log technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps. This is used for security, site operation, and basic analytics.

Google account and Google Ads data (via the Google Ads API). With your authorization through Google’s OAuth consent flow, we access advertising data from the Google Ads account(s) you connect. This may include campaign, ad group, ad, keyword, and performance metrics, as well as account identifiers required to make API requests. The exact data we access is limited to the OAuth scopes you grant, which include: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above only to:

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the Website;
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide requested services;
  • Access, retrieve, and analyze your Google Ads data for internal reporting, optimization, and management of advertising activity;
  • Improve the user-facing features we provide.

All use of Google Ads data is for internal operations only. We do not use it for any purpose unrelated to the features you authorized.

4. Google User Data — Limited Use Disclosure

This section describes how we handle data we obtain through Google APIs, such as the advertising data we retrieve from the Google Ads account(s) you connect via the Google Ads API. This is distinct from the website-visitor data we collect through cookies for advertising and remarketing, which is described in Section 8.

The Click Hatch’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In accordance with that policy:

  • We access Google user data solely for internal use to provide and improve the features described in this policy.
  • We do not sell or transfer Google user data to third parties, including advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
  • We do not use data received from Google APIs for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising. (Our remarketing activity, described in Section 8, uses website-visitor cookie data, not data obtained from Google APIs.)
  • We do not use Google user data to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data, except where you have given affirmative consent, where required for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), where required to comply with applicable law, or where the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in accordance with applicable privacy and legal requirements.
  • We limit our access to the minimum scopes necessary to operate our features, and we only retain the data for as long as needed for those purposes.

If we ever change how we use Google user data, we will update this policy and obtain renewed consent before using the data for any new purpose.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share the data we obtain from Google APIs (such as your Google Ads account data) with third parties for their own purposes. We may disclose information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Advertising and remarketing partners: As described in Section 8, we share website-visitor data (such as cookie identifiers and browsing activity on our site) with Google and its advertising network so that we can serve remarketing ads to past visitors. We do not share personally identifiable information such as your name or email address through these advertising tags.
  • Legal compliance: when required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
  • Security and abuse prevention: when necessary to investigate, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
  • Business transfer: as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, but only after obtaining your explicit prior consent for any transfer of data obtained from Google APIs.

6. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, loss, or disclosure. All data — including Google user data — is protected in transit (using encrypted connections such as HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to perform the functions described in this policy.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of data we hold by contacting us, and you may revoke our access to your Google account at any time (see Section 9).

8. Cookies, Tracking, and Remarketing

Our Website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and support advertising. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may not function properly as a result.

Remarketing with Google Ads. We use remarketing (also called retargeting) to advertise to people who have previously visited theclickhatch.com. To do this, we and third-party vendors place cookies and use device identifiers on visitors’ browsers and devices. As a result:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on websites across the internet.
  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on a person’s past visits to our Website.
  • We share website-visitor signals (such as cookie identifiers and on-site activity) with Google to build remarketing audiences. We do not pass personally identifiable information, such as names or email addresses, through these advertising tags.

How you can opt out. You have several options to control or opt out of this advertising:

Google’s handling of data collected through its advertising services is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and described further at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

9. Your Choices and Rights

  • Revoking Google access: You can revoke our application’s access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions page.
  • Access, correction, and deletion: Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at theclickhatch@gmail.com.
  • Residents of certain jurisdictions (for example, the EU/EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA) may have additional rights. We honor applicable requests in accordance with the relevant laws.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Website and services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and where the changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
